Yoga in Daily Life: A Place For Every Type Of Practitioners
Article by Glen Wood
Among other kinds of yoga, mantra yoga is a deep exploration of the spaciousness. It is not divorced from the normal yoga experience, but rather keep practitioners focused on meditation, creating a higher form of exultation.
While the yoga popularly practiced in the West focused on physical exercise, “Yoga in Daily Life” offers a mantra yoga program for people who wants to attain mental well-being.
This kind of yoga uses the spiritually-oriented chanting of mantra. The repetition of this mantra–called the Divine Name–is known as Mantra Japa. In its ancient origin, Mantra Japa is regarded as the most supreme religious practice.
There are four forms of Mantra Japa. With the use of Mantra, these forms allow meditation to explore its healing powers on the body, mind and spirit. The feeling of tranquility and euphoria eases the pain and discomfort of the body. Like all other kinds of yoga, it increases blood circulation and enhances physical stamina that relieves back pain and reduces stress.
“Yoga for Back Pain”, “Yoga for Joints”, “Yoga for Seniors”, “Yoga for Managers” and “Yoga for Children” are the other programs offered in “Yoga in Daily Life.” Yoga is composed of eight-level system. Every yoga exercise starts with Sarwa Hitta Asanas, which means “Exercises that are good for everyone.” The seven other levels follow this preparatory level from which other abovementioned special programs are developed.
A 2200 years-old compilation of philosophies and methodologies of yoga was made by sage Patanjali in his 196 aphorisms called “The Yoga Sutras.” The compilation elucidated all aspects of yoga including the basis of its theory and practice. The development of varied yoga practices might have originated from here.
Other healing techniques for good health are also available in “Yoga in Daily Life”.” Among these are Hatha Yoga. Trataka, Mudras and Bhandas. The latter is a special yoga techniques.
Many forms of yoga will give you a different level of awareness, and it may take some time for you to ‘adapt’ or ‘take in’ what is being said at that time. You may come across the same information much later and take a different view point on it and use that in your life.
We all have a ‘different’ level of understanding, some will have a ‘light bulb’ moment, others will not and will go through a different experience. All paths lead to the same place, it is up to us to choose the path which we see as right for us at that time.
