However, there are other factors which you might not realize yet that hinder your effort in preserve your ideal weight
1. Emotional EaterAre you an emotional eater? If you do, you might not even realize it since it’s been already a part of your lifestyle. Basically, it means that you are eating even when you’re not hungry for various other reasons, it might be for rewarding yourself after a job well done, to comfort yourself when you’re feeling bad, or you just eat when you feel bored. This habit involve changes in a person’s feeling, like stress, depression, anger, boredom, loneliness, frustration, and anxiety. Most of us will automatically reach for food when we experience one of those feeling, this “automatic response” is the one that you need to change, and for that you need to find the trigger of that habit first.
A simple way to do it is to keep a “food and feeling diary”. For some times try writing all you eat throughout the day and what do you feel at that time, it will help you to identify what trigger your emotional eating behavior, it might be because of boredom, stress at work, or you just feel to eat between completing your tasks. After it’s been identified, make a list about other activities you could do instead of eating when the situation occurs. It might be doing light exercise, talking to a friend, chatting, take a walk, have a cup of tea, listen to you favorite song, playing game, cleaning your desk, anything that can distract you from eating. Just keep aware of your situation and your own feeling, if the situation occurs, pull out your list and pick one of the alternative tasks.
2. Toxic OverloadEveryday, an average person exposed to over than 100 chemicals from food, air, water we drink, cleaning product, clothes we wear, sheets of pillows we sleep, cosmetics, deodorant, toothpaste, and many more. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) report that approximately 500,000 chemicals are currently in use while another 5,000 are added each year. Our body can handle this exposure to an extent, but when it’s already out too much, we will suffer toxic overload, which caused various symptoms, including headaches, asthma, allergies, coughing, wheezing, digestive disorders, sore throat, skin disease, heart disease, mood disorders, and excess body weight.
Detoxification is a way to remove toxic substances from the body, which is the solution to overcome this type of problem. There are ways to treat hormonal imbalance, one of them is hormonal therapy where patient is given hormones to even out the levels in the body. The other method includes detoxification program to remove the toxins from the body, followed with rejuvenate the body using herbs to encourage natural balance between the hormones.
