Weight Loss Exercises For Women – How To Tone 3 Common Problem Areas!

A lot of times, women find it more difficult to lose weight than men. Why? Because to put it quite simply, women have a naturally higher body fat percentage. There are weight loss exercises for women out there. They target specifically the areas than women naturally have a harder time with. While men can obviously do these exercises too, and see great results, these exercises target the specific needs of what the majority of women want worked on. The majority of women want to tone their bodies more than they want to bulk their bodies. And these exercises are specifically targeted at toning the 3 most problematic areas for women. The 3 most problematic areas for women are their lower stomach, glutes, and obliques. I will give examples of one exercise for each of these areas, there are several more obviously, but I will focus on the most effective ones.

Squats is one of the best weight loss exercises for women. Not only will you lose those extra pounds in your glutes, you will tone them. As an added bonus, squats will also help tone your legs. Begin by standing up, hands to your side, and feet shoulder width apart, feet pointing forward. Slowly squat down. As you come down raise your arms in front of you, keep your arms and your back straight. You want to be looking straight ahead at all times. Squat down till you just pass 90 degrees, hold for a couple seconds, then slowly come back up. The key to squats is moving slowly, keeping control of your body, and keeping your back straight. Do these until you can’t do anymore.

Another of the great weight loss exercises for women is the leg raise. It targets the lower stomach to get rid of that ‘pouch’ that many women complain about. Lay on your back, hands at your sides palms down. Keep your feet together and your toes pointed forward. Slowly bring your legs up as far as you can, hold it for a few seconds, then slowly lower them. Do not let them touch the floor, let them hover about 3 inches above the floor. Repeat. As you continue to do this you’ll grow a very strong lower stomach area, you’ll notice over time you will be able to raise your legs higher and keep them suspended for longer. With this exercise you’ll have an incredibly flat stomach in no time!

Oblique exercises are great for getting rid of those pesky love handles and is one of the greatest weight loss exercises for women. And it’s probably the easiest one too! You need a weight of some kind that you can grip. It only needs to be about 5 pounds. If you don’t have one, holding a gallon of milk or water will work fine. Stand against a wall to help keep proper posture. Keep your legs together and your shoulders back. Holding your weight in one hand at your side, put your other hand on your hip. You want to bend sideways, the same side your weight is on, then straighten back up. Slow movements work best. Do about 15 to 20, then do the other side.These are just a few of the wonderful weight loss exercises for women. You put these exercises into action and you’ll be seeing results in no time flat.
