Its the biggest load of shit ever. Its just like P90x muscle confusion. Don’t be confused into buying that bullshog. These are cool sounding words that mean NOTHING NEW. The Afterburn Effect is a cool term for what happens when you exercise. When you exercise you raise your metabolism, its called a metabolic debt, your body has a temporarily elevated metabolism and as a result of having a higher metabolism, your body burns MORE calories in subsequent ours. But this happens with any training, there is NOTHING special about it. What you REALLY want to focus on is how to MAXIMIZE your metabolic debt, or be EPOC. No I did NOT stutter. EPOC (Exercise Post Oxygen Consumption) is defined scientifically as the “recovery of metabolic rate back to pre-exercise levels”. You want to be as EPOC as possible. HERES 7 WAYS to BE more EPOC 1. Focus on BIG movements. Compound movements are the most intensive exercises. Full body days, upper/lower splits, push/pull/legs, they all work. This means doing squats, deadlifts, chin-ups, dips for 6-8 reps and 3-4 sets. 2. Incorporate Weighted Circuits in Your Program. A circuit with weights basically means taking much
