Lose Weight Fast After Holiday Seasons
Article by MG Lee
You’ve enjoyed your time during the holiday seasons. You’ve a great time with your family and you even have time to reflect back whatever that happens in the year and time to plan for the new year.
Finally, the holiday seasons come to an end. It is always sad when this happen as this family time means a lot to a lot of people.
You’ll need to continue to stay focus and positive as the next holidays will be 363 days away. Your focus for now will be to reclaim your body shape, take charge of your life again and start to lose all the weights you’ve gained over the holiday seasons.
If you intend to lose weight fast, always focus on the basic principles: eat less and move. It is so simple that you just simply can’t believe it!
During the holiday seasons, you enjoyed all the great foods and have you ever wondered how much you have gained?
In general, most of us will have gained between one and five pounds (450 to 2,250 grams). What that means is in order to get back to your pre-holidays weight, it will take you between one to five weeks if we start our weight loss program today.
Keep in mind that you will not be able to keep whatever weight you’ve lost if you lose weight faster than one pound (450g) per week. In this article, we will focus mainly on the basics of losing one pound per week. One pound (450g) is equivalent to 3,500 calories, or five hundred calories each day. Normally, an adult will require a minimum of 2,000 calories each day in order to remain fit and healthy.
In the developed countries our average daily consumption is approximately 3,500 calories. That is an extra 1,500 calories which we have consumed. With this kind of consumption, it gives us many opportunities to shed the extra pounds.
For example we can reduce our daily intake by 500 calories, provided that we do not fall below 2,000 calories each day. This is good for your weight and your health. However, this may not make you fitter and more able to enjoy life.
That is the main reason why we suggest that initially you set out to reduce your daily calorie intake by 300 calories. You can then burn off extra 200 calories through light exercise.
Refer below for the calories burn-off chart:-
Approximate calories/Hr Moderate Physical Activity for a 154 lb person
Hiking 370Light gardening 330Dancing 330Golfing & walking 330Bicycling (less than 10mph) 290Walking (3.5 mph) 280Weight lifting (general light workout) 220Stretching 180Running / jogging 590Bicycling (more than 10mph) 590Swimming 510Aerobics 480Walking (4.5 mph) 460Heavy yard work 440Weight lifting 440Basketball 440
As you work on both your aerobic fitness and diet simultaneously, you will become fitter and this will then increase your burn off rate. As this happens, you will have the ability or the luxury of having a few rewards in your diet.As mentioned earlier, it is not good to lose weight at a rate greater than one-pound (450g) each week. By doing this, you’ll risk gaining all the weight back again. This is bad as all your efforts go down the drain.
Your objective of shedding those pounds should be keeping it and maintain that body shape. You should not be losing weight this month and then watching it come back next. You’ll want to lose it forever and not having to work and work on it again.
Start today and you will see results within a week and begin to lose weight fast.
